Yonnah's Bird Paintings
I grew up here in Seattle from 1945 until we moved to Mercer Island in 1954. It seemed like such a wild and free place after my mother instilled in myself and three other siblings the love of birds simply by hanging a bird feeder in our front yard. Nature and wildlife became a focus for me as I grew into adulthood and raised children myself. In the 1980's I specialized in bronze sculptures and oil paintings of birds and I return to this subject in my work to this day.
